Between us, we’ve spent more than twenty years making work for clients. We’ve done brand films, product demos, launch videos, recorded workshops and many hours of meetings.

Over all that time, one part of the job hardly changed. To get feedback on a video, we sent a link, and the notes came back looking like this:

“At around 1:40, can the logo hold a little longer?”
“The bit near the end where she’s talking. Not that bit, the other one.”
“Love it. Small thing at 0:52. Or maybe 0:58?”

Video is the most time-based thing we make, yet it was the hardest to give precise feedback on. So we built a better way.

A player made for review

Videos in the Uncharted client portal now open in a review player. It does more than play the file. It’s a workspace for discussing it.

A timeline you can read at a glance. Under the video there’s a filmstrip of frames, so you can see the shape of the piece before you press play. A playhead moves across it, and you can jump anywhere with a click.

Comments pinned to the moment. Press + Comment or hit C, and your note is tied to the exact second you’re watching. Each comment shows up as a pin on the timeline with the commenter’s initials. You can see where the conversation is concentrated without reading a single thread.

Click a pin, see the moment. Clicking a comment takes the video to the second it refers to, and the comment lights up beside it. Nobody has to ask which bit you meant.

Links that open at the right time. Any moment can be copied as a link. Send it to a colleague, and it opens the video at that exact second.

Control for the details. You can change the playback speed for long recordings and step frame by frame with the , and . keys when timing matters. Keyboard shortcuts keep your hands where they already are.

Not just for finished films

We built this for reviewing video work, but we found it useful for a lot more.

Meetings and workshops. A recorded strategy session is only useful if you can find the part that matters. Pin the decision, the open question or the quote from a customer interview, and the recording becomes something your team can actually use.

Product walkthroughs and prototypes. Point to the exact interaction that feels off rather than describing it.

Animation and motion. Step through a transition one frame at a time and comment on the moment it lands or doesn’t.

Board and investor updates. Share a link that opens on the thirty seconds that matter, not a forty-minute file.

Why an agency is building tools

Twenty years teaches you where projects slow down. It’s rarely in the creative work. It’s in the gaps between that work: the feedback round that takes three emails to decode, the approval nobody can find, the timestamp that turns out to be wrong.

Experience tells you where those gaps are. Building something to close them is a choice. We think agencies should be judged on how it feels to work with them, not only on what they deliver. We design experiences for our clients’ customers every day. Our own clients deserve the same care.

The video player sits alongside everything else in the portal. That includes passwordless sign-in, a clear status on every document, flipbook PDFs, one-step approvals and sharing with your team or board in a link. Like the rest of the portal, it gets better whenever a client tells us something could be easier.

Available now

Video review is live for current clients in the portal. Sign in with your work email at studio.uncharted.global/portal, open any video and press C.

If you’re not working with us yet, we’d love to show you around.
